Auditions for the Winter Musical are next week!

This years winter musical is…Godspell! This production will be directed by our new Chairperson for the Fine and Performing Arts, Mr. Michael Limone. The 2019-2020 school year is Mr. Limone’s second year at Carle Place High School. During his first year working here Mr. Limone was able to produce our theatrical productions of Flowers for Algernon (High School), Mamma Mia! (High School), and Legally Blonde Jr. (Middle School). This year, Mr. Limone has the opportunity to direct the two high school productions this year, a play called Midsummer/Jersey and the musical, Godspell. Additionally, Mr. Limone has founded a Drama Club at Carle Place High School. The Drama Club meets every Tuesday at 3:00 pm in the Auditorium. All grades are welcome to join!

Auditions for Godspell begin next Monday, November 18. The audition schedule is below:

Monday, November 18th- Mandatory audition meeting at 4:00 pm in the Auditorium. Vocal auditions begin immediately after the meeting. Auditioners must come prepared with sheet music. Song requirements include 20 bars, or a verse and a chorus of a song.  

Tuesday, November 19th- Drama Club meeting at 3:00 pm in the Auditorium. Vocal callbacks begin immediately after the Drama Club meeting. 

Wednesday, November 20th- Dance and Acting Auditions at 3:00 pm. Come prepared to dance and wear comfortable clothes and shoes. 

No auditions on Thursday

Friday November 22- TBA. All who are interested in auditioning should keep this date available, as it is unknown whether or not auditioners will be called. 

A detailed schedule of audition week can be found on the bulletin board outside of the Auditorium (near the chorus classroom). This particular production is high school  only. Middle Schoolers are able to audition for the middle school production of Frozen Jr. in February 2020.
