October is a great month in Long Island, New York, with a lot of exciting activities to enjoy as fall colors take over.
Enjoy the fall by going to local farms for pumpkin picking. Farms like Brightwaters Farms and White Post Farms have great pumpkin patches where you can pick out the perfect pumpkins to carve.
There are also haunted houses all over Long Island. Popular ones are Darkside Haunted House and Bayville Scream Park.
If you love the outdoors, consider hiking outdoor trails like Planting Fields Arboretum State Historic Park or Caleb Smith State Park Preserve.
There are also many great corn mazes such as the F&W Schmitt’s Family Farm Corn Maze in Melville.
