Big Shot Review
By Giulianna Canzoneri
Have you ever heard of John Stamos? If you have, then you would probably first think of Uncle Jesse from Full House or General Hospital. Now he is starring in a show on Disney Plus called Big Shot!
Big Shot is a show on Disney Plus and it just got released on April 16. I give the show five stars! The show is about a college basketball coach Marvyn Korn (John Stamos) who gets kicked out of his job for mistreating his college students by throwing a chair at them. He then gets the job to teach a high school team but he doesn’t know that it’s a girls private high school basketball. When he started he was yelling at the most star player, Louise (Nell Verlaque) who yells back at him and tells him that she has to stay on the team. Marvyn then meets his assistant coach Holly Barrett (Jessalyn Gilsig) who helps him with coaching the girls. But later in the show, (even though we are only three episodes in) he gets to know the girls and who they are outside the team. He gets to see his daughter Emma (Sophia Mitri Schloss) who meets the team and becomes best friends with them.
I personally recommend this because it shows a good example of teamwork and hard work. You would probably think that if it’s a basketball show then you should know how to play basketball. That’s where you’re wrong! In one of the interviews with J-14, John Stamos says that he called their first practice a “rehearsal” since he has never played basketball before in his life. One crazy thing about him is that he is a huge Disney fan and he has a life size Dumbo the elephant in his house. Crazy, right? If you are interested in watching Big Shot it is on Disney Plus as a new release.
